Labour has wiped out Reform UK’s poll lead after enjoying a surge in support under new leader Andy Burnham.
Research by DeltaPoll put both parties on 28%, well ahead of the Tories on 18%.
It marks a major turnaround on a month ago, when Labour were on just 20%, fully 8 points behind Nigel Farage’s party.
The dramatic increase in support for Labour has coincided with Keir Starmer being replaced as the party’s leader and prime minister by Burnham.
