There's a new show at the top of Netflix UK

Following weeks at the top of Netflix UK, Squid Game season 3 has officially been toppled off the streamer’s top spot for most popular show.

The hit Korean drama returned for its third and final season on June 27, bringing creator-director Hwang Dong-hyuk’s overnight phenomenon to an epic end.

The dystopian thriller, which debuted in 2021, revolves around a secret contest in which 456 cash-strapped players compete in a series of children’s games for a multimillion-dollar prize — however, the stakes are deadly.

The final series culminated in a bloody conclusion to the games, while leaving the door open for potential spin-offs.
