Aubrey Plaza had an honest conversation about grief during an appearance on her friend and former colleague Amy Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang, on Tuesday.

During the interview, Amy – who co-starred alongside Aubrey on the US sitcom Parks And Recreation – asked her guest how she was doing in the wake of her “terrible, tragic year.”

The former White Lotus star’s husband, the writer and director Jeff Baena, died by suicide in January. He was 47.

“Just to get it out the way, people want to see you and want to see how you are; they love you,” Amy said at the beginning of the podcast episode.

“So you’ve had this terrible, terrible, tragic year,” the Saturday Night Live alum added. “You lost your husband, you’ve been dealing with that, and you’ve been looking for all different ways in which to feel and find support.”
