Since it became a global success in 2025, everyone wants to know whether the Netflix drama Adolescence will get a season two.

Initially billed as a miniseries, the four-parter – which Stephen Graham co-created with Jack Thorne – sparked widespread conversation about themes like toxic masculinity, mental health and the so-called “manosphere”, and went on to sweep the board at the Emmys, Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards.

As the show’s popularity has continued to grow, Stephen and his collaborators have repeatedly been asked about whether more Adolescence could be in the pipeline, and teased what that might look like.

Award-winning screenwriter Jack Thorne first spoke about the possibility of an Adolescence season 2 in the weeks after its debut

The single-shot show followed 14-year-old Jamie Miller, played by the award-winning Owen Cooper, after his arrest for killing a girl at his school.

The miniseries concluded with Jamie being jailed and his family forced to confront his crimes. If Adolescence returns, it will not continue Jamie’s story.
