After a perfect meal at They Voyager, we decided to have a walk around the town which 'lives under the shadow' of the ‘crime-ridden parts of Middlesbrough’. Recent figures show that Middlesbrough has the highest crime rate in the country outside London.

In Middlesbrough there are 166 offences for every 1,000 people. That’s the equivalent of one crime report for every six people.

But in nearby Guisbrough, it is a lot more quiet and quaint so we decided to pay a........
