Q: Why do I see so many cars in Texas that have Montana license plates? Usually, I see the plates on Bentleys, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, or other similar expensive cars.

A: Some of the cars might belong to Montana residents. But it's more likely those cars belong to Texas residents who avoid sales tax by using what's known as the "Montana LLC loophole."
