As the tourist footfall to the scenic places in Kashmir witnesses spike after a dim season last year, the inadequacies in terms of facilities, and other gaps, are popping up. No matter the high talk on the importance of tourism, its role in the economy, and its value in terms of restoration of normality, the ground realities present a different picture. In fact the picture is contrary to what one would ideally believe, given the rhetoric dished out on tourism.
