Consumer prices climbed by 0.9% between February and March, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported, driven by a 10.9% hike in energy prices—the largest single-month gain the category has seen since 2005. Meanwhile, consumer sentiment fell to an all-time low in April, according to the University of Michigan’s widely-tracked survey, as respondents expressed concern about the conflict disrupting prices.
