Consumers are cutting back on dining out—but not on cheesecake.

The Cheesecake Factory saw its shares surge nearly 14% on Wednesday as the restaurant chain reported quarterly revenue above $1 billion for the first time in its stronger-than-expected earnings report. The gains sweetened founder and CEO David Overton’s fortune of more than $300 million.

The Cheesecake Factory reported steady foot traffic growth even as other restaurants see declines, and the chain plans to expand with 26 new locations in fiscal year 2026.
