The decision to charge tolls on the Trans-Canada highway choke-point at the Nova Scotia border is like Iran tolling the Strait of Hormuz

Before Canada signs up to help open the Strait of Hormuz — and how would we do that: by sending in a crack team of military intersectionality counsellors? — we have a strategic choke-point problem of our own to attend to. In its latest budget, the regime currently running the province of New Brunswick announced it’s going to charge tolls on the Trans-Canada Highway near its border with Nova Scotia, thus impeding interprovincial traffic in exactly the same way Iran is impeding international oil tanker traffic.
