Predictions of an AI-driven job apocalypse have captured the public imagination and increasingly made their way into the boardroom. It is not hard to see why. We’re seeing rapid advances in generative artificial intelligence, and in some cases the models are startlingly capable. Prominent voices have warned of mass unemployment, hollowed-out professions, and the possibility of automation, which can destabilize economic systems.
