Apple Is Racing to Build Smart Glasses, AI AirPods and a Pendant You Wear Around Your Neck
Bloomberg reports the company is accelerating three camera-equipped wearables to compete with Meta and OpenAI—with production starting as early as December.

Apple seems to be betting its future on wearables. The company is accelerating development of three camera-equipped devices, according to Bloomberg.
First, there’s eyewear with high-resolution cameras targeting production as early as December for a 2027 release. Code-named N50, it will compete with Meta’s glasses and let users make calls, access Siri, and take actions based on their surroundings.
Second, camera-equipped earbuds are planned for as early as this year. The cameras let Siri see what you’re looking at, not capture images.
Third, a clip-on pendant reminiscent of the failed Humane AI pin but designed as an iPhone accessory—some Apple employees call it the “eyes and ears” of the phone.
