Column: Living a Planet Friendly Life
In the next 20 years, it is very likely that today's routine lifestyles will change dramatically whether we like it or not. It will be a result of climate change caused by the release of CO2 into the atmosphere, which is warming the planet. The increasing problems brought about by extreme weather will have reached a point where a worldwide focus will be underway to reduce the amount of CO2 we are putting into the atmosphere.
In the future, the extremely high temperature commonly in August will have reached the point in the previous January, and the United Nations will finally come to an almost solid front to reverse climate change.
Today, we should be looking ahead to join in what will be a "planet-friendly transitional lifestyle," and as we make the changes, these are some of the ways we can do it. As an example, let's take a normal shopping trip and, along with today's shopping, then look ahead to our kids' school changes over the next 20 years, and maybe you can find items that will add to your planet-friendly lifestyle. The next few paragraphs are looking ahead 20 years to add just a few of the hundreds of ways we will reverse climate change to a time in the future when these actions will be commonplace.
