Bottles of urine pile up at Amazon warehouse as drivers worked 'like slaves'
Six drivers who have worked for Amazon in Ipswich and Norwich via local contractors have raised concerns about faulty vehicles, unfair dismissals when drivers do not hit quotas and high delivery targets, ranging up to 350 stops in a day.
Amazon say all their drivers in the UK, except the minority who use the Flex Amazon app, are employed by Delivery Service Providers (DSP), who are legally responsible for the drivers but use Amazon-branded vans.

Drivers say one such company, BEAZ Logistics, which is the largest DSP in the region, communicates with its workers via WhatsApp and "constantly monitors and watches" its drivers.
Meanwhile, others also noted that the issues raised are "widespread" within other providers such as TK Prime Limited.
Matthew Cole, who has been working for BEAZ Logistics, since April 2024, said the bottles of urine outside the Amazon Ipswich warehouse no longer surprise him, as there is not the "adequate facilities or time to stop".
Mr Cole described the job as a “never-ending nightmare” and says “you can’t take your foot off the gas”.
