A notice pinned to the door of The Mayfair, in Broad Street, Bungay, states the venue is "under new ownership and has been closed for renovations", with a planned reopening in "late August".

Former co-owner Silas Rayner confirmed he sold the business on May 1.

He said the decision came after the venue became "too much of a work/lifestyle change" alongside his other commitments.
