The proposed development in Thurlton, halfway between Norwich and Loddon on the A146, was refused after highways experts said the road network serving the site would be inadequate and create conditions "detrimental" to road safety.

David Greenwood, of Albion Properties, had sought permission to build on land south of Vale Road.

The scheme attracted significant objections, with locals raising concerns over safety, pressure on local infrastructure, flooding, and the loss of countryside character.
