Plans for garden storage unit to be transformed into holiday let approved
Teresa and Jerry Ellis applied to East Suffolk Council in November to transform an existing storage unit on Holton Road in Halesworth into a one-bedroom annexe suitable for holiday use.
As part of the scheme, the applicants have also been granted permission to demolish their garage and replace it with a third-bedroom extension with an en-suite.
Approval documents said the holiday unit must only be occupied for up to 56 days per person per calendar year unless otherwise agreed with the council.

The owners will also be required to "maintain an up-to-date register of all lettings", including the names and addresses of guests.
The approved plans show a single-storey building with an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space, plus a separate bedroom and en-suite.
One of the existing garden storage unit doors will also be replaced with a window.
Plans for the site received no public objections but there was concern from one neighbour about parking.
However, the council concluded there was "adequate provision of parking on the site".
