In Barnby, between Beccles and Lowestoft, scores of locals have raised concerns about the proposed scheme off The Street, warning it could place further strain on already stretched infrastructure.

The application, submitted by Flagship Homes, has sparked a strong backlash, with many urging East Suffolk Council to refuse permission.

One objector said: "This development will have a detrimental effect on our already overstretched infrastructure. The sewage system in the village is currently not fit for purpose.
