Experienced bakers Yasmin Wyatt, Lucy Roberts, and Fern Harman have taken on a building on Earsham Street in Bungay, where they plan to launch their first venture together called Baked.

The trio, who previously worked at the well-known Two Magpies Bakery, said they realised they wanted to take the next step and build something of their own.

Now they hope to open the doors of Baked next month.

Ms Wyatt said: "It felt like a natural time for us to evolve and start our own thing.

"We got the keys last Friday and since then we've been working on setting everything up with the view to open on April 1, around Easter time.

"We are really passionate about local suppliers and being a part of the local community."

Work is now well unde rway to transform the former Front Room coffee shop into a bakery, ready to produce and showcase their in-house creations.

Baked will offer a range of freshly made sweet treats and baked goods, including pastries, as well as more ambitious bakes such as tiramisu danishes and a XXL lemon meringue pie, alongside classics like Bakewell tarts.

Ms Wyatt said: "We know the area and we've got really good relationships with people in the community.

"Every time we walk around we feel like celebrities, everyone has been very supportive."

The bakery will open seven days a week, with slightly shorter hours on Sundays and Mondays.

As well as baked goods, customers will be able to enjoy a selection of drinks, including smoothies, matcha, and a range of hot drinks.
