Two exciting opportunities for pupils to get involved with the EDP
Schools across the region are encouraged to take part and support student involvement.
At the Eastern Daily Press, we're getting ready for the return of our annual Mother's Day Messages feature, where your little ones can write heartfelt notes to celebrate their mum, step-mum, grandmother, or whoever they love in that caring role.
These notes will be compiled into a keepsake supplement for families to treasure.
Loved ones will be able to purchase the paper on Wednesday, March 11.
Did you also know that 2026 is the year of reading? We are running an exclusive campaign to support this—Born & Read.
The campaign is designed to ignite a passion for reading and writing.
It will bring together editorial features, community events, competitions and school initiatives, all aimed at making reading more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
That’s why we want schools to get involved with our exciting World Book Day spread—it’s a day for all children to love and share.
We want to feature local schools’ best dress-ups from March 5.
Even if schools aren’t getting dressed up and they’re doing activities instead, we still want to see it!
You can pick up your print copy on Tuesday, March 10.
If you know a school that would like to get involved, ask them to email EDPschools@localiq.co.uk by Wednesday, February 18.
Participating schools will receive notice boards to ensure parents and carers don’t forget to pick up their pupils in print.
