Lauren Potter, 12, from the 14th Lowestoft Scout Group has been selected to attend the 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Gdansk, Poland.

She is now starting her fundraising efforts to raise £3,400 for the trip and has received an early boost with a £300 donation from Kingsley Healthcare.

Spokesman Stephen Pullinger said: "Kingsley is a family-owned company and even though we are now a national top 20 ranked care homes group we retain our family values.

"Lowestoft has a special place in our hearts as it is where the company started 27 years ago."

Lauren and two other Scouts from her group are organising a series of fundraising events, including a bingo night, hamper raffles and a fully booked quiz and fish and chip evening at the Scout den.

The schoolgirl said: "I’ll get to take part in amazing activities, explore new places and bring home skills and stories to share with my local community and younger scouts."
