New drone photos show progress on major housing development in Norfolk town
Work is under way on the site south of Norwich Road in North Walsham, which is set to see 343 new houses and a care home built by developer Hopkins Homes.
The drone photos show some houses already built and other groundworks completed on a section of the site south of the North Walsham Garden Centre.
Planning permission for the development was granted in 2024.
It will include seven self-build plots, 53 affordable homes and a care home with 66 bedspaces.

It is also set to include allotments, a community orchard, play provision and an additional vehicle access into the garden centre site.
The scheme had raised a number of concerns in the community, which also is facing other major housing developments such as North Walsham West.
One of the main fears locals have expressed is whether the rapidly-growing town will be able to cope with the big increase of people living in the area due to a lack of shops, spaces at schools and the increased pressure on GP surgeries.
