New banking hub for Norfolk town set to open within weeks
The North Walsham Banking Hub is expected to open on March 13 in the former Barclays building.
Hubs allow people to withdraw and deposit cash, deposit cheques, pay utility bills and check account balances, and registered businesses will be able to collect change.
It will host a community banking service where customers can talk to their own bank.
Lucy Shires, district and county councillor for the town, announced the news in a post on social media.

She said: "Access to everyday financial services is essential for market towns like ours - particularly for older residents, small traders and those who rely on cash.
"After years of seeing bank branches disappear, it’s good to see a new model stepping in to keep services local.
"Please note this is the anticipated opening date and, as with any new service launch, this could change."
It comes after the new banking hub opened in Cromer with North Norfolk MP Steffan Aquarone cutting the ribbon.
