But at night, Johnny Grimley has another persona as he takes to the stage in a thrash metal band.

Mr Grimley owns The Art House Café in Cromer where he loves cooking treats galore and talking to locals and visitors alike.

And as he prepares his tasty delights, eager customers may not realise that his other main passion in his life is being a drummer in the band Acid Reign.

He has been a member of the band, which has been well-known on the metal music scene since the 1980s, for nearly a year when the previous drummer Marc Jackson joined the band Venom.

Mr Grimley said: "I was over the moon when I got the gig. I had toured with them 10 years prior when the band rebooted."

When asked about how he manages travelling to London to rehearse with the band alongside running the café, he said: "It has been difficult but I have been lucky to have such great staff and also my mother helping at the café when I am away.

"The band are very understanding with our other commitments - it is the perfect fit really."

His passion for drumming was inspired by his dad, who was a marching drummer in the army, by watching clips of him perform from a young age.

His parents then bought him his own drum at the age of 13 - and since then, he has not looked back.

Acid Reign, which was first active between 1985 to 1991 before rebooting in 2015, is now set to release a new album and embark on a tour across the UK - with hints at European gigs in the future.

Their new album Daze of the Week is coming out on May 15, which was recorded with producer Jayce Lewis who has worked with stars such as Queen legends Brian May and Roger Taylor.
