How this new initiative hopes to shape the future of Norfolk's 'poshest' town
But like many towns across the region, Holt is facing changes in retail habits, rising operating costs and several new developments.
So now, locals have been encouraged to help shape the future of Holt under a new initiative.
Brand Holt has been launched with the aims to strengthen the town's future as a "thriving, independent" place to be.
It hopes to bring together residents, businesses and organisations to focus on the town’s long-term success, with discussions and practical action around the issues facing the town.

Also, the initiative aims to celebrate what makes Holt distinctive while helping ensure the town remains "vibrant and economically resilient" in the years ahead.
A spokesman for Brand Holt said: “Holt is a unique town with a strong identity and an independent spirit.
"Brand Holt has been created to help bring people together, share ideas and focus on practical ways to ensure the town continues to thrive.”
The group behind the campaign has identified three early priorities moving forward.
These include encouraging sustainable growth for independent businesses, retail, hospitality and markets and promoting Holt's identity.

Brand Holt also hopes to strengthen the town's voice by creating a platform for locals to contribute their ideas and highlight challenges.
As part of the launch, the group are inviting applications for a chairman and for panel members who will "help guide the initiative and bring together a range of local perspectives".
It comes after Sarah Tribe, mayor of Holt, described the town as a dichotomy, presenting two contrasting sides.
While it is a magnet for visitors, it is also a living, working town and balancing the needs of both the community and visitors is at the heart of a number of projects in the town.
