Bid to convert redundant barn into new therapy room in Norfolk village
Mr and Mrs Thirst have submitted a proposal to North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) to convert the building on their property off Happisburgh Road in East Ruston into a new therapy room.
This would offer services such as counselling, holistic therapy, massage, or wellness coaching by a qualified practitioner on an appointment-only basis if it is approved.
The plans would see the former stables and pig sties transformed into two therapy and treatment rooms, a waiting area, a toilet, and a kitchenette.

The statement added: "This application proposes a sensitive and sustainable conversion of a redundant barn to provide a valuable local therapy service, supporting both rural economic activity and community wellbeing."
Access to the site will be from Happisburgh Road and parking for two to three vehicles will be provided on existing hardstanding.
Documents said: "The site is safe and accessible from the highway and does not require new access infrastructure."
