Twelve face manslaughter charges over death of football fan
Simon Dobbin, from Mildenhall, was a Cambridge United supporter who had travelled to Southend on March 21, 2015, to watch his team play Southend United.
He was assaulted after the match in an attack outside the Railway Tavern pub that left him with life-changing injuries.
He required 24-hour care from his family until his death in October 2020.

On Wednesday, February 11, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised manslaughter charges against 12 men:
They are due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 31.
