The demonstration was organised by the Lakenheath Alliance for Peace and included a 24-hour vigil at the gates of the base.

It started on Wednesday, April 1 and is set to end at 3pm on Monday, April 6.

Protestors have locked themselves together to block entry to RAF Lakenheath as part of an ongoing demonstration.

The group of thirteen chained themselves to a large peace symbol and a car at the entrance to the Suffolk airbase, which is used by the US Air Force.
