Norfolk man takes part in trailblazing trial to combat sight-threatening disease

Dermott, 72 and who receives care at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, is the first person in the UK and Europe to take part in the Phoenix drug trial.

The trial - which has enrolled more than 500 patients globally - is part of a study which aims to determine the effectiveness of a drug called Tinlarebant in slowing the progression of Geographic Atrophy (GA).
