Helen Garrett, 48 and who owns Creative Decorations based in Great Yarmouth, won the Outstanding Achievement Award at The Nations Wedding Awards 2026.

Her business creates balloon arches and displays for weddings, birthday parties and special events.

Mrs Garrett said: "I bring fun to people's weddings and parties. A party with no decorations is just a meeting.

"I just like the fun side of it. You should always have a reason to party.

"It brings more fun into it."

She was shortlisted for the award and then sent in supporting evidence before she got the news she had triumphed.

Mrs Garrett, originally from Bedfordshire, set up her business fifteen years ago in her home county.

She moved to Great Yarmouth three years ago and since then has made a name for herself in the decorations world.

Her business provided decorations for five weddings last year and since the set-up of her business she has worked on more than 50 weddings.

You will be able to meet the award-winner and other local businesses at the Wedding Fair in the Royal Assembly Rooms in Great Yarmouth on Sunday, March 1 from 11am-3pm.
