Great Yarmouth Borough Council has approved a proposal to demolish the building at 38 Hawthorn Road in Gorleston.

The plans, submitted by Sanctuary Affordable Housing Limited, will see the construction of a new building with nine assisted living apartments and a staff apartment with an adjoining office.

The nine apartments will be used for social rented affordable housing and the staff apartment will not be used as any person's place of permanent or sole residence.
