A significant milestone has been reached as a new vision has been submitted for the comprehensive £24.3m redevelopment of Lowestoft town centre.

Plans have been lodged showcasing a new cultural venue called The Battery -utilising the vacant car park building and former Wilko store, a new 80-cover restaurant, a surface-level car park, a new public toilet block and a plaza.

It also includes works to The Spark as part of a major transformation of the Marina Centre that will promote and support community outreach activity.

The new proposals for this landmark regeneration project come after the bid........
