Go-ahead for new £8m wind farm support base
It will see the long-serving home of a former plumbing and builders merchants knocked down as part of a major redevelopment on the PowerPark employment area in Lowestoft.
Plans from green energy company Scottish Power Renewables' (SPR) to expand its presence in Lowestoft with a new £8 million base have been given the go-ahead.
The major investment will see the former RJ Pryce site on Trinity Road redeveloped for use as an operational land base as part of SPRs' East Anglia Three offshore wind farm, which is currently being built around 43 miles (69km) off the coast of Suffolk.
