Norwich Market chip stall's twist on an easter classic
The team at Lucy's Chips are deep frying hot cross buns for the easter holidays.

Kingston Gray, 59, and his twin brother, Barclay, are in their eighth year of owning the stall and are known for their inventive takes on festive treats.

Over the years they have battered mince pies, pancakes, sprouts and cream eggs.
They say the deep fried buns have been a hit with the customers who are adventurous enough to try them.

Mr Gray said: "We did them last year and they have been really popular.
"Anything will taste better with batter on it. We have done battered sprouts at Christmas.
"We thought we would try something different. We tried it ourselves and thought they were nice.
"We did Creme Eggs before and thought we should try battering some hot cross buns.
"People who try them love them, they are a smash hit.

"We do sell a lot of them.
"A lot of people think they will not like them but after trying them they do."
The buns are sliced and buttered before being put back together and dipped in batter.
They are then fried until the batter is crisp on the outside.
The battered hot cross buns are being sold for £1.50 for the duration of the Easter holidays.
The treats drew mixed reviews in the newsroom with some appreciating a twist on a classic and others preferring a more traditional bun.
Emily Goodwin said: "I liked the fact that it was hot and gooey. A fun way to eat a classic."
Faye Minton added: "I didn't think I'd like it but it was good - crispy and loads of fruit in the bite I had."
Others were baffled by the combination.
Georgina Taylor said: "I was not a fan, there was a lot going on, I think you lose the hot cross bun taste which we all know and love."
