Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth has been highlighted in a round-up of the top holiday destinations in the country.

It was picked due to its Tropical Waterworld waterpark, which features slides and splash zones.

The waterpark was described by The Sun as "undoubtedly the shining star" of the holiday park.

The site was also praised for its entertainment, including the treehouse adventure playground, jungle golf and mini golf.

The Parkdean Resort is currently closed for a raft of improvement works costing £5m, including a new sports bar, called Hat-Tricks, serving food and drink alongside interactive sports such as shuffleboard.

The upgrade will also include Fairground Golf, immersive Bear Grylls escape rooms, an off-road rangers driving track and revamped high and low ropes.

In January, Great Yarmouth Borough Council granted planning permission to Parkdean to replace pitches for 35 touring caravans at the holiday park with 31 static caravans.

Guests will be welcomed back to the park at the end of March.
