The OB Café, based at the Old Buckenham Country Park near Attleborough, usually opens seven days a week over the summer.

This usually starts from April - but this year, it began early, on the weekend of February 27.

"This is the first time we are able to introduce summer hours this early thanks to our new undercover seating area," marketing manager Kirsty Richards said.

The seating area was installed last summer with the help of Breckland Council and allows customers to enjoy the surrounding nature in the colder months.

The team has also given the menu a refresh, taking on feedback they had received from customers.

"We now have a lot more healthy options and have taken off a lot of the fried food," Ms Richards said.

The healthy options include salad bowls, bagels and poached eggs on toast.

Ms Richards added that the opening "went really well" and that "people enjoyed the food".

"Lots said they want to come back to sample more of the menu," she said.

The café is now open from 9am to 5pm every day, but it could open longer for summer and grill evenings over the summer months.

Customers are asked to keep an eye on its social media for details of future events.

Old Buckenham Country Park, where the café is based, is a 32-acre rural campsite which spans around two lakes and is surrounded by mature woodland and wildflower meadows.

It provides camping and glamping options, newly upgraded facilities and a licenced café.

It also hosts a busy social calendar featuring street food vendors, live music, themed gatherings and outdoor events.
