Her death came nine months after her husband, Alwyn Crawshaw, who died aged 91 in November 2025.

Together, they formed a partnership that helped generations of people discover the pleasure of painting.

The Mundesley couple painted together for most of their married life and regularly went out to sketch together in the north Norfolk countryside. 

June was an artist and author in her own right, as well as Alwyn’s long-time creative partner.
