Drag queens boycott Norfolk Pride event... because organiser is a Reform councillor
The performers are boycotting Attleborough Pride because it is run by Daniel Burcham, who was elected on to Norfolk County Council last month.
They have accused Reform of "working against" the LGBTQ community and say they were angered by the party's recent decision to stop flying the Progress Pride flag from County Hall.
But Mr Burcham, who is gay, plans to go ahead with the event, due to be held in August, and accused his critics of trying to "politicise" it.

"Sexuality does not automatically determine political beliefs, and no political movement has the right to claim ownership of an entire community," he said.
"It is deeply disappointing that what should be a positive, inclusive community event has become so heavily politicised.
“While it is unfortunate that some acts have chosen to withdraw, Attleborough Pride is bigger than politics, bigger than any one individual, and bigger than those who seek to divide our community.
"The event is going ahead, and everyone is welcome."
Mr Burcham is also a member of Attleborough Town Council where he is a senior figure in the 'Newbies', one of two factions whose ongoing feuding has seen the town named "Battleborough".
