Norwich Playhouse - a storied venue in the heart of the city which has hosted the likes of Sir Ian McKellen and Timothy West - is set to get the go-ahead for a major renovation.

The scheme, first drawn up in 2019 before the pandemic saw it put it on ice, will see the venue's single storey bar demolished and rebuilt as a new two storey building, complete with a flexible event space upstairs and a link back to the main........
