Busy road to close for week for £80,000 resurfacing project
North Street will be shut to traffic for resurfacing works and will remain closed for seven nights from Monday, March 16.
Norfolk County Council’s highways department said the closure is necessary to complete the scheme safely.
The department said: "Due to the limited safe working space, there will be a road closure in force while this work takes place."
The project will involve removing the old asphalt and laying a new surface across the full width of the road.
The road will be closed from 7pm to 7am.
Access for locals and emergency services will be maintained, but delays are expected.
The work will be completed under highway maintenance with a contribution from the local member fund from Cllr Lesley Bambridge.
It will be carried out by Norfolk County Council's infrastructure department and its contractors.
