The driver was stopped in Pasteur Road, Great Yarmouth on Monday after being caught driving at 43mph in a 30mph zone.

Officers then discovered that he was disqualified from driving and had failed to insure his car, which was then seized.

He also failed a roadside drug wipe.

The driver was arrested at the scene for both offences.

A police spokeswoman said: "Next time you spot an officer doing speed checks at the roadside, just know, we’re looking for these sorts of drivers, not looking to fund the next Christmas party, as is so often suggested.

"The money received from speeding fines is reinvested directly into road safety by the Norfolk Road Safety Partnership."
