The two-vehicle collision happened at 11.33am on Monday (August 3) between Hockering and North Tuddenham.

A diversion forced traffic through Mattishall and created gridlock, with the trip from Norwich to Dereham taking up to 90 minutes for some drivers due to the traffic.

The affected stretch of the A47 reopened by 5am on Tuesday (August 4).
