Anglian Water is introducing a ban across the region from 1am on Saturday and householders will be barred from using hosepipes to water gardens and plants and to clean things such as vehicles, patios and walls.

However, some parts of the counties, including Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Beccles, are covered by Essex & Suffolk Water, which has not put a hosepipe ban in place.

Water customers with the company are however being urged to reduce usage and use water wisely during the heatwave.
