Colin Sutton was approached for comment this morning about the violence which unfolded in the market town on Tuesday and Wednesday, but said he did not want to talk to Eastern Daily Press reporters.

After it was established that two Norfolk Constabulary officers had been injured in the chaotic and ugly scenes, Mr Sutton was again asked for comment.

But he rejected the opportunity to do so, stating he was unhappy with recent coverage of both the police force he oversees and his party, where he serves as a national police and crime advisor.
