Business partners, Leah Burge and Kyle Sean, have decided to leave the Ram Inn, a community-style pub in Brundall.

Mr Sean said that despite building a "loyal" customer base after taking on the Norfolk Broads site a year ago, it was never a long-term plan for them.

He said: “We knew we couldn’t commit to the five-year lease when we took on the pub.

“It just didn’t suit the route or progression of the business we were hoping for.

"Our following has grown so much over the last year.

“We see hundreds of faces come through the door each week.

“It’s community first and community at its finest for us.

“Our staff have been amazing.

“I’d like to thank Cara, Katie, Chloe, Diane, Hayden, Emmi and Amy.

"We are unbelievably proud of what we’ve built here."

Mr Sean and Ms Burge's final trading day will be March 22 and they will officially leave the pub on April 1.

After that date, the pub will open intermittently before a new landlord takes it on.

Mr Sean added that exciting plans are in the pipeline and urged customers to "keep their eyes peeled" for an announcement on their social media.

He said: “It isn't just closure, it’s the next step of our growth as a business," he said.

"We’re not disappearing. We’re stepping into something bigger. Something better."

Per month, the Ram Inn's Facebook page gets roughly 300,000 views.

The pub has two dogs called Ralphie and Bella, and a cat called Skye.
