App offering HALF-PRICE meals launches in Norwich
First Table, which launched in the city on March 11, offers half-price dining for parties of two to four at selected restaurants during off-peak times.
The scheme aims to help restaurants fill quieter tables earlier in the evening while offering customers substantial savings, with tables typically offered discounts around 5.30pm or after 9pm.

The app charges a booking fee between £4 and £8, in return for 50pc off the food bill.
More than 10 venues in Norwich have already signed up to the platform, including The Last Wine Bar, XO Kitchen, Bishop’s, Jorge’s and Estabulo.
Seb Taylor, patron and restaurant manager at The Last Wine Bar, said: "Norwich has a fantastic food scene and anything that encourages people to get out and try new restaurants is a positive for the city.

"Partnering with First Table is a great way for us to welcome new diners, build atmosphere early in the evening and showcase what we do."
The app is currently active in 18 cities across the UK, with more than 1,500 venues on board.
First Table began in Queenstown, New Zealand, after founder and CEO Mat Weir saw a restaurant offering 50pc off its first table of the night to create early buzz.

"Cities with a vibrant food scene are where First Table works best," Mr Weir said.
"Norwich has that balance of tradition, creativity and community that makes dining out feel personal.
