Questions raised after prison destroys 'key' evidence ahead of inquest
Hallum Elgood, who was serving at HMP Norwich, was found dead on December 30 at the Knox Road prison following an act to end his own life.
An inquest into his death is due to be held in the coming months in front of a jury.
But a preliminary hearing held at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Monday heard that a potentially key piece of evidence would not be included, because it had been destroyed.
