Those who have bought from Terry Bakes - run by Terry Pegler - are worried he will repeat previous actions of taking online orders, then failing to deliver them because the backlog is unmanageable.

Mr Pegler sparked outrage after announcing on social media that he would not fulfil existing orders and telling customers to seek chargebacks from their banks, as he could not issue refunds.

In a later video shared to Instagram, Mr Pegler then said he would be opening up orders by baking "some cakes" to earn money so that "in a couple of weeks", he could start fulfilling orders for his customers regardless of whether they received a chargeback.

But Mr Pegler then U-turned in another video, saying he was "not sure going back and selling cakes is the right thing to do right now".

It comes as more than a dozen people have complained to Trading Standards about the city baker's delays and refusal to issue refunds.
