Work is under way to build the city's third TK Maxx on land adjacent to Next at Longwater Retail Park, which has been secured by wooden panelled fencing.

Construction crews have been spotted making head way in the development, with signs signalling the store will be ready by autumn this year.

Land earmarked for the development is currently unused and planners for the district council said the development for the site would be acceptable.

Bullen Group, a Norwich-based company, was given permission to build the retail store towards the end of last year.

The scheme for the new shop, which is known for offering designer clothes and homeware at bargain prices, also includes additional car parking and better accessibility to the store.

Although many bargain hunters have shared their excitement over the store's new launch, the plans have been criticised by people who fear it will cause more traffic in the area.
