Kettle causes right old brew ha ha at Norfolk beach
Police were called to Hemsby at 11.38am on Monday after reports that an unexploded Second World War bomb had been discovered in the sand.
Officers attended and contacted the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team, but the drama quickly fizzled out when the suspicious object was identified as… a brass kettle.
A Norfolk Police spokesperson said the item was confirmed as non-hazardous and officers were stood down.
